Blogging Goes Legit, Sort Of

One of the country's most respected training grounds for professional reporters has become the first school to offer a class on the 21st century symbol of do-it-yourself journalism.


Next fall, a handful of students at the University of California at Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism will convene weekly to learn about blogging from John Batelle, a co-founder of Wired magazine, and Paul Grabowicz, the school's new media program director.

Enormous Ice Reservoirs Found on Mars

According to the BBC, NASA is prepared to confirm the existence of vast oceans of water ice just below the surface of Mars. Water-ice has been found in vast quantities just below the surface across great swathes of the planet Mars.


The finding by NASA is undoubtedly one of the most important ever made about the Red Planet. It solves one of its deepest mysteries, points the way for manned exploration and reignites the question of whether life may exist on the planet. Insiders suggest that, partly as a result of this finding, NASA may now commit itself to a manned landing within 20 years.
