So what's up with all the blatant capitalization of patriotism. I have now seen a huge spike in ripoff schemes to sell patriotic coins, plates, whistling clocks, ceramic angels, talking flags, framed eagles, and a fish that whistles Dixie. Hey! People are now buying the crap. What was once laughable is now a big industry. It's great to be patriotic I agree, but I just can't get over the patriotic condoms that I saw the other day at the local pharmarcy ... available in large and extra large. And, Speaking of patriotism, MC Hammer, yes, you heard right, released a new album. Active Duty is in the stores now ... What time is it? "Hammer Time" ... don't hurt 'em Hammer.

The comment box is not working, it's currently being worked on. I'm not sure when it will resume normal operations, not that it's used by many visitors anyway. I suppose that I prefer the humble and quiet path, to stay away from the spotlight and be a casual observer from afar ... who the hell am I kidding? I want it all, As my friend Greg said the other other day ... "Ray, it's all about YOU" I guess I could really get used to that notion.

Yeah right ... well, life has it's moments and today was a good day ... it's been said that every dog has his day and today was my dog day. May your dog days be numerous and full of health success and happiness. I'm going back to studying. -Your humble host.

Robert Greene author of The 48 Laws of Power ( a book that I've read and thoroughly enjoyed) has a new book which chronicles the exploits of great seducers as case studies to illustrate timeless principles of human psychology in The Art of Seduction.
The main idea consists of putting off the sexual element to heighten the excitement, the tension, all those wonderful things that we've kind of lost because we're so impatient. more detail on the book are at the
Seductive official website.

E.T. phone home
cover
Remember that movie? how the heck did E.T.'s race ever evolve? First of all, their necks are entirely too small to hold up those hammerheads. Secondly, with flippers instead of legs, their land speed should have been roughly equivalent to that of the three-banded armadillo. A couple of punk squirrels could take an E.T. down within a minute. Of course, E.T. could always fly away, but then he'd be forced to deal with the blackbirds.

Cap'n Crunch is the perfect name for a cereal mascot. It's always a good idea to use a great aspect of your cereal (in this case, it's crunchiness) as part of the name. Lieut'nt Crisp would have been another good alternative, or Priv't Tasty, or Gen'l Sweet.
I hate going to certain websites where after you get there and hit the back button, you just can't get out.
