In English, when we encounter something unfamiliar, we might be inclined to say, “What’s that?”

A French person in the same situation would likely ask, “Qu’est-ce que c’est que ca?”

These few syllables, translated literally into English, read, “What is this that this is that this there?”

I commend Bush and the Congress for passing a good education bill.  Every once in a while, they do something right.
My friend justin suggested that I add a section to the site called "Rays of Inspiration", sort of a words of wisdom type of flavor. At first, I wondered why me? is there something about me that gives one the impression that I'm an inspirational guru? ... I pondered the thought for a second than gave him my standard reply, "yeahxcellent idea" Jus. well, I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I'll be working on it during the next few weeks but for now, he's a little morsel of what you can expect. Bon appetit!

Imagine
Imagine a world where dreams meet reality. Where the childlike hopes and wonders that dwell within each of us do not always fade into cynicism over time. Imagine a world where happiness is not an ambition hoped to be achieved sometime in the distant future, but rather a familiar constant that is experienced daily. Imagine a world where the frequency of finding and keeping true love is more often than not. Where smiles and joy far outnumber tears and heartache. Imagine a world where all this and much more is possible. A world where anything is possible. Just imagine...

... that you didn't have to imagine.

Because you don't.

In reality, anything is possible. And the only way that dreams cannot meet reality, the only way that the plethora of hopes and possibilities that lie within your grasp die...

... is if you let them.

Photo Album: New York Three Months After from the State Department
My older daughter Monique has been accepted at Cornell university in Ithica NY. I'm so proud and happy for her. She will attending in the fall of '02. Congrats Moe and all the best for future success. I remember saying to you as a child that "our only limitations are those that we mentally accept" ... Thanks for making daddy proud.

What this photo doesn't show you is that they're waiting in line to sample the unexpected new taste of Mickey D's exciting Ranchero Bagel. S-s-salsa! (Oh, and here's the AP advisory on said photo.)
